The use of Caenorhabditis elegans for studying fundamental biological phenomena
Students observe this small round worm and investigate some basic biological mechanisms such as life cycle, self-fertilising hermaphrodites, sex determination, embryogenesis, transmission of hereditary characters and the slowing down of the metabolic process.
